Another baby boy is on the way for Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney and his wife Hannah. The couple announced news that they are expecting their second child together on Wednesday afternoon (8/21).

“Celebrating a number 1 with baby number 2! Hannah and I have been dying to share the news. We thought for sure we’d be announcing a baby girl, but God has other plans for the Mooney’s. Found out today we’re having a BOY! Bout to be a new duo in town,” wrote the crooner with a photo of his two-and-a-half year old son Asher posing next to pink and blue hearts.

In the second of the five photos, Asher has his hand pressed right on top of the blue heart, also indicating that a little brother is on the way. The final post is a video of Asher excitedly proclaiming, “We’re having a baby brother!”

Hannah shared the same photos, writing “Celebrating a #1 song this week… with baby #2! We have cried and laughed all morning (I thought for sure it was a girl)! 😂 We are over the moon and can’t wait to see this precious guy be the sweetest big brother, early next year!”

The couple welcomed Asher in January 2017 and wed nine months later during a ceremony on Mooney’s family property in Arkansas. Mooney admitted that becoming parents strengthened his relationship with the former Miss Arkansas.

“It has been a huge change and the best change,” Mooney told PEOPLE after Asher’s arrival. “You love each other a ton and then you have a kid and you never realize how much you could love something. It strengthens your love for each other, but it also just opens up this entire other deeper world of love that you never knew you could have.”

As Mooney prepares to be a father of two, he’s staying busy touring the country with his bandmate Dan Smyers. The duo, who recently scored their sixth No.1 single, are currently out on the road opening for Florida Georgia Line’s Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour.
