Singers/Songwriters Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne Say ‘I Do’
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Country singers Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne are married! The couple exchanged vows on Sunday, May 23 surrounded by family and friends.
The newlyweds opted for an outdoors wedding, using Reba’s former home, the Estate at Cherokee Dock, in Lebanon, Tennessee, as the perfect backdrop.
When we saw the backyard overlooking the water at Cherokee Dock we knew it was the perfect place for us,” Ellis shares with PEOPLE, adding that she’d wanted to be married outside her “entire life.”
Ellis and Wayne opted to buy rings they’d gotten from Siebke Hoyt Jewelers. The jeweler was suggested by their friend Tim Tebow, who used the Iowa-based company for his and wife’s Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters’ rings.
While the day was filled with family and friends, the couple did decide to do their first-look with just the two of them, granting them a special one-on-one moment during the day.
“Nick had the idea that we should do it walking down the aisle, but before anyone arrives,” Ellis said. “It will feel like the real thing, but it will be just the two of us. It’s going to be a really special moment.”
Now that they’ve finally become husband and wife after six years of dating, the couple is excited to kick off married life with a honeymoon to Mexico.
“We are going to Cabo,” Ellis said. “Nick has never been to Mexico, and we cannot wait to relax and not talk about wedding plans!”
