Platinum-selling country band Sister Hazel’s longtime guitarist, Ryan Newell, is celebrating an expanded family! On December 29, Newell and his wife Carla welcomed their second child, a blonde haired and blue eyed baby boy.
Ryland Taylor Newell weighed a healthy 9lbs 4oz and measured 22in long. In June 2020, the newborn’s big sister Cadence broke the news about his impending arrival and her excitement on the band’s Instagram page.
As per a press release, Ryland is named after his daddy and in honor of his great-grandfather Carlton Taylor, who earned a Purple Heart in WWII while serving in the Army’s storied “Hell on Wheels” division in North Africa, Sicily, and Normandy.
