Steve Moakler, Drew Baldridge, Smithfield Hit the ‘Highway’ For Upcoming Tour
Watch as the tourmates hop in a truch and drive around Nashville singing highway-themed songs.
In just two weeks, Steve Moakler, Drew Baldridge, and Smithfield will take to the highway for a nationwide tour presented by Sirius XM’s The Highway. Dubbed The Highway Finds Tour, the 26-date run will feature the three acts, who were each hand-picked by the satellite radio company, allowing them to get up close and personal with Highway listeners everywhere.
To celebrate the March 16 kick-off of the inaugural Highway Finds Tour, Moakler, Baldridge and Smithfield (comprised of Trey Smith and Jennifer Fiedler) hopped in a truck and hit the roads around Nashville, singing a number of highway-themed tunes, while also showing off the fun dynamic between the acts. The Highway Finds Tour is something all three of the acts are looking forward to. For Moakler, the chance to play his music live for fans is a dream come true, especially for those who have spent months listening to him through the satellite radio station.
“When you get in front of people and you see them sing along and you see them lose themselves in a song on a Friday night, that feeling is amazing,” he told Sounds Like Nashville during a recent interview. “It’s incredibly fulfilling, and I would say that keeps me going. The writing and the performing. No matter how many people are there or even how great the song is, getting to do that and connect to music in that way is incredibly fulfilling. I really don’t know what else I would do.”
Baldridge is also excited to hit the road with his friends and spend time meeting everyone who attends the shows.
“It’s an awesome opportunity. The Highway has been the leader on my music every time. They were the first ones to play ‘Dance With Ya,’ they were the first ones to play ‘Rebound.’ To go out there and be able to be the first, this is their first tour and I get to be on it,’ he told us during this year’s Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. “The people that are Highway listeners have heard my music from day one. Everybody that comes out to these shows are gonna know my songs and that’s the most exciting thing, to be able to out there and say wow to all the people that are singing back… they’ve been my fans since the day they heard my music.”
The 26-city North American tour will kick off Thursday, March 16 at The Underground in Charlotte, NC. Fans can purchase tickets for the tour HERE.
