Sugarland to Take Time Off After ‘Tumultuous Year’
After their Vocal Duo of the Year win at tonight’s CMA Awards, Sugarland announced backstage that they’re going to be taking some time off from recording and performing, for at least a few months. After a reporter asked about a new album for the duo, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles responded “We’re in the writing — actually, we’re in the resting process. Let’s be really frank. We just got off tour two weeks ago after two years of being on the Incredible Machine tour and obviously after quite a tumultuous year, to say the least. We are taking a few months just to chill and relax and sleep in our own beds and contemplate how we want to approach what’s next.”
Jennifer will have at least one more day of work before she gets to rest… she’ll be hosting “CMA Country Christmas” which tapes tomorrow in Nashville. The TV special will air during the upcoming holiday season on ABC.
