Country fans first fell in love with Shenandoah in the late ’80s, but now the hit-making harmony group is mounting a comeback — with an all-star list of guests helping out.
Set for November 13, the band’s new Every Road album will mark their first project of new music since 1994. And that new music will feature Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Ashley McBryde, Dierks Bentley, Lady A, Zac Brown Band, Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson and Brad Paisley.
Before the guys stepped away 26 years ago, they scored 13 Number One hits like “The Church on Cumberland Road,” “Sunday In the South,” “Next to You, Next to Me,” with front man Marty Raybon’s expressive vocal leading the way. Now he’s back with co-founding member Mike McGuire, and their classic sound has hardly changed. First single, “I’d Take Another One of Those” (featuring Zac Brown Band) is out now, with comforting pure-country tones and lyrics that long for simple joy of days gone by.
Shenandoah’s Every Road features 10 songs and was produced by studio ace Buddy Cannon (Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson). It comes out November 13.
