The 55th Annual ACM Awards is gearing up for an awards show like none other, and there’s a special someone set to make a major appearance.

After a seven year absence from the Academy of Country Music Awards stage, Taylor Swift will be taking on the honor of performing during the coveted show. Swift made the surprise announcement on Sunday morning (September 13) to fans’ great delight.

“Bout to show up at your party @ACMawards,” the superstar tweeted with a cheeky cat emoji.

Swift will be performing “betty,” from her most recent album, “folklore.” The acoustic storytelling nature of the song landed a spot on country radio, and has been moving its way up the charts since its release.

The “cardigan” singer will join the likes of many country stars slated to take the ACM stage. Previously announced performers include, but aren’t limited to, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Mickey Guyton, Dan + Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett and Jon Pardi.

Other stars expected to make cameos at the 55th Annual ACM Awards are Lauren Alaina, Bobby Bones, Cam, Darius Rucker and Lily Aldridge. Keith Urban will take on hosting duties for the exciting evening.

Fans can tune in to the world premiere of “betty” performed live by Swift at the 55th Annual ACM Awards on Wednesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
