Taylor Swift Celebrates ‘Best. Birthday. Ever.’
Taylor Swift turned 22 on Tuesday (12/13). The superstar celebrated her big day with new red shoes, a trip to the studio to work on her forthcoming album and a decadent birthday cake. During a break from the studio on Tuesday, Swift hosted a holiday luncheon for her record label, Big Machine Records. According to People, folks from the label surprised Swift with a “European chocolate butter cream birthday cake with edible glitter from Nashville bakery Dulce Desserts.” The cake, which was covered in vanilla butter cream, also featured a layer of chocolate truffle.
Swift reportedly liked the cake so much that she ordered a smaller version of it to serve at a low-key birthday bash that evening.
She later took to Twitter to thank fans for all of the birthday messages.
“Best. Birthday. Ever.,” she wrote. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes. You made me feel really special today 🙂 🙂 :)”
