Taylor Swift has been diligently working on the re-recording her first six albums and the first to be shared with fans is Fearless (Taylor’s Version). Upon announcing the project, Swift revealed that she would be releasing unreleased six songs “From the Vault.”

“These are songs that I’m calling ‘from the vault,’ and I call them that because there are songs that I wrote over the course of my career that were meant for certain albums, but didn’t end up making the track list for reasons that, to me, don’t really matter now,” she explained of the tracks that didn’t make the original album cut. “I would make decisions based on, ‘Oh, there are too many breakup songs on this album, I can’t put this one on too. There are too many slow songs on this album, I can’t put this one on too.’ I think curating an album is really important, but at the same time, it’s really fun to go back and show the fans the full picture of what I had created at that time.”

The first song drops Thursday, March 25 and is called “You All Over Me (From The Vault).” Co-written by Scooter Carusoe and produced by Aaron Dessner, Swift shared her excitement to release the song to fans. She even teased that some guest artists may be appearing on the ‘From the Vault’ tracks, with Maren Morris taking the first guest spot.

“One thing I’ve been loving about these From The Vault songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists. I’m really excited to have @marenmorris singing background vocals on this song!! ☔️ Produced by Aaron Dessner and co-written by Scooter Carusoe – can’t wait for you to hear it 💛,” she wrote on Instagram.

The singers have a long history of friendship, with Morris joining the pop superstar on stage during the reputation Tour. They also publicly reunited in 2019 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards when Morris presented Swift with the Tour of the Year Award.

Swift previously shared the title track of the album after it appeared in a Match.com commercial and will release the rest of the project on April 9. She decided to re-record her first six albums after her former label head Scott Borchetta sold the rights to her music to Scooter Braun without offering her a fair price for the masters.

She recently made headlines with a whimsical performance of songs from her latest original albums, folklore and evermore, on the 2021 GRAMMYs. Later in the evening, Swift took home the award for Album of the Year with folklore.

Morris released a new single, “Chasing After You,” a duet with her husband Ryan Hurd. The song was most added at country radio upon its release and marks the first official duet for the married couple. They also marked their son Hayes’ first birthday with a Peter Rabbit birthday party.
