Taylor Swift Wins Big At BMI Awards

Taylor Swift 2009 BMI Awards

Taylor Swift received the “Song of the Year” honor at last night’s 57th Annual BMI Awards in Nashville for her hit, “Love Story.”

“I just want to say to every songwriter and every loved one of a songwriter, thank you, because you are the reason I wanted to try Nashville,” Swift said at the ceremony. “You are all my heroes.”

This is the second year in a row that Swift has received the award for “Song of the Year.” Last year, her song “Teardrops On My Guitar” won her the title.

Bobby Pinson was named “Songwriter of the Year.” Pinson had a hand in writing Sugarland's chart-toppers, “All I Want to Do” and “Already Gone,” Toby Keith's “She Never Cried in Front of Me,” and Josh Gracin's “We Weren't Crazy.”

Brooks & Dunn received the prestigious BMI President's Award.

Other honorees included Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, Toby Keith, Jim Beavers, Brett Beavers, and Dallas Davidson (among others).
