‘The 47th Annual CMA Awards’ – What To Expect

The Hosts:
Superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are slated to host the CMA Awards for the sixth consecutive year. The dynamic duo has only gotten better over time, so we can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeve for this year!
The Performers:
The star-studded performance lineup includes Jason Aldean; Luke Bryan; Eric Church; Florida Georgia Line; Hunter Hayes with Jason Mraz; Lady Antebellum; Little Big Town; Tim McGraw; Kacey Musgraves; Paisley; Blake Shelton; Lennon & Maisy Stella (from ABC;’s “Nashville”), Taylor Swift with Vince Gill and Alison Krauss; The Band Perry; Underwood; and Zac Brown Band with Dave Grohl. In addition, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban will perform together; Alan Jackson and George Strait will perform together in a tribute to the legendary George Jones; and Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts, and Darius Rucker will pay homage to recent Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Kenny Rogers.

CMA Awards nominee Lee Brice, actress Connie Britton (star of ABC’s “Nashville”), CMA Awards nominee Kelly Clarkson, singer Sheryl Crow, CMA Awards nominee Brett Eldredge, CMA Awards nominee Eli Young Band, actor Charles Esten (star of ABC’s “Nashville”), actress and singer Lucy Hale (star of ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars”), CMA Awards nominee Kip Moore, Country Music star Jake Owen, Country Music star Kellie Pickler, and television personalities Willie & Korie Robertson and Jase & Missy Robertson (stars of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty”) are scheduled to present trophies during “Country Music’s Biggest Night™.”
Reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Thompson Square will host the Pre-Telecast CMA Awards ceremonies, which will stream live onCMAawards.com at 7:30 PM/ET; 6:30 PM/CT. Winners for Musical Event and Music Video of the Year, as well as Musician of the Year and the 2013 CMA Broadcast Awards Radio Station and Personality of the Year will be recognized.

“The 47th Annual CMA Awards” will surely be unforgettable. Here’s a look at the evening’s most anticipated moments…
- Luke Bryan’s DOUBLE performance – In addition to opening the show with his latest No.1, “That’s My Kind of Night,” triple CMA nominee Luke Bryan is also scheduled to debut his brand new single, “Drink A Beer,” during the telecast.
- Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood’s Show Opener – You never know what Brad and Carrie will say (or do!) during their opening monologue. Tune in early because you don’t want to miss this! Fans can re-live Paisley and Underwood’s hilarious show openings through the years HERE.
- Superstar Collaborations: There’s nothing more special than watching talented artists come together on stage. Tonight, fans will be treated to a handful of memorable collaborations, including Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert’s first televised performance of “We Were Us,” Alan Jackson and George Strait’s tribute to George Jones, and Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts, and Darius Rucker’s performance honoring the great Kenny Rogers. Plus, Hunter Hayes will take the stage with Jason Mraz and Taylor Swift will perform with Vince Gill and Alison Krauss!
- Carrie Underwood’s Wardrobe – Whether you want to admit it or not, you know you can’t wait to see what host Carrie Underwood is going to wear. Last year, the superstar sported a total of 12 dresses throughout the telecast and red carpet.
