The Band Perry Honored In Las Vegas For Gold Album

During ACM weekend, Republic Nashville hosted a celebration for The Band Perry, whose self-titled debut album was certified Gold by the RIAA in February 2011 after just four months in the marketplace. The album features their fastest-climbing, current single, “You Lie,” along with the Grammy-nominated, Platinum-certified #1 hit, “If I Die Young” and their first Top 20 single, “Hip To My Heart.”

“When we got the news in February that our album had gone Gold, we went from shock to excitement to flat-out gratitude in about 60 seconds. Waiting until ACM weekend to celebrate means being able to personally thank so many of you who have believed in us all along. You have helped us connect with Country music fans. You have worked long hours on our behalf. You share the same passion for Country music that we do. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you and promise to keep working hard to deserve all that you’ve helped us achieve,” the trio told the crowd.

The band is currently nominated for four ACM Awards, including New Artist of the Year, which is also determined by fans (voting ends at the start of tomorrow's broadcast of the ACM Awards live on CBS). TBP has already won an early ACM Award for New Group of the Year, as determined by fan votes.
