The Band Perry Ready To “Work Hard This Summer” On The Tim McGraw Tour

Tonight, along with Luke Bryan, The Band Perry will embark on Tim McGraw’s ‘Emotional Traffic Tour.’ The Band Perry, who was named ACM Top New Artist on Sunday, says being on McGraw’s tour is a “true honor.”

“I just remember spending our summers listening to live music,” Kimberly Perry told reporters backstage at the ACM Awards. “So for us to now be providing that live music over the summer, we are so grateful to be apart of that tour and warm up the stage for Tim.”

“We think of ourselves as a live band,” added Reid Perry. “So, to actually be able to play 50-plus dates with Tim McGraw on his stage in front of his audience is a true honor.”

So what can fans expect from the “You Lie” singers on the ‘Emotional Traffic Tour’?

“We always like to tip our hats to our roots which our rock and roll and country, Kimberly said. “Our set with Tim is only half an hour so all that will be all The Band Perry, but we are also mixing in our own dates.”

“In our seventy-five minute [headlining] shows, you can hear anything from the Rolling Stones to Queen, maybe some Loretta Lynn and Tom Petty,” she said.

It sounds like it just comes natural for the sibling trio.

“Live music is just what we do, its what we have done for thirteen years here in The Band Perry. It’s the family business and we are gonna role up our sleeves and work hard this summer.”
