The Band Perry Talks Third Album, Surprising Collaboration

The Band Perry, Pharrell

The Band Perry has been hard at work on their third studio album. In getting this album ready, the sibling trio had a little help from an surprising source… Pharrell Williams.

In an interview with CMT’s Cody Alan, the trio revealed the exciting news. “We’re being really crazy about the different collaborations that we’re diving into,” Kimberly Perry said. “We got to hang out with Pharrell a couple weeks ago. He’s like a huge country music fan, and he also really loves what we do with harmony. One thing that we worked on with him was this song where all three of us sing different interwoven vocals on the verse and on the chorus.”

Though a lot of the album details are still under wraps, Radio.com got a hint of what to expect from the project. “As opposed to ‘Pioneer,’ which is all about being the underdog and rising above circumstance, this album has a lot more of a fun atmosphere around it,” Reid Perry said. “When it even comes to the songs that we’re choosing to start working on, it’s all about, ‘How does it make us feel?’ If it makes us feel good and if has a fun vibe about it, that is the path that we are walking down.’

Country fans may be familiar with Williams from NBC’s “The Voice,” where he serves as a coach alongside Blake Shelton.

Fans can expect The Band Perry’s third studio album later this year.
