The Cadillac Three’s Jaren Johnston Shares His Guilty Music Pleasure

While The Cadillac Three have a distinct southern rock-infused country sound, don’t expect that to be the only thing in their music collection.

“We’re all huge music fans in general,” TC3’s lead singer Jaren Johnston shares. “For me, my guilty pleasure right now is that Ariana Grande record, I think it’s great.”

He also mentioned that he loves Sam Hunt’s debut, Montevallo, and Taylor Swift’s 1989. He’s attracted to artists who put songs together in a “neat way.” He’s also attracted to singers whose talent is undeniable, like Chris Stapleton.

“Obviously Chris Stapleton’s new record ‘Traveller,’ just one of the mind-blowing situations that, he does something that only one or two people in the world can do,” he said. “And Otis Redding, and all those guys aren’t around anymore.”

He said that not only is Stapleton is carrying a special torch for singers in country music, but for music in general.

“You can’t really put that in a certain genre,” he said.

Fans can catch The Cadilliac Three performing during CMA Fest on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage on Thursday (6/11).
