The 2020 Americana Music Awards nominations have been revealed with Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Our Native Daughters, the late John Prine, Nathaniel Rateliff, Tanya Tucker, Yola and more being honored for their efforts over the last year.

Announced early Monday morning (6/15), the Americana Music Association revealed the nominees in each category, this year expanding the normal four to an extended five, with Song of the Year earning six due to a tie.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on September 16, 2020. With the ever-changing state of the COVID-19 pademic, information about tickets will be released in the coming months. The Americana Music Association will also continue to closely monitor the national, state and local guidelines to determine the status of the awards celebration.

The Americana Honors & Awards is typically held during AmericanaFest in Nashville. Due to the pandemic, the festival has already been postponed, with plans for a new initiative to take its place this fall. More information on that will be revealed in the coming days.
