The Judds Announce ‘The Final Tour’ With Martina McBride

Following their reunion at tonight’s (April 11) 2022 CMT Music Awards, mother/daughter country music duo The Judds will embark on what they expect will be their last tour.

Dubbed The Final Tour and marking their first string of shows in over 10 years, the trek will take Wynonna and Naomi Judd to 10 different arenas across the U.S., with fellow ’90s superstar Martina McBride in support.

Announcing the news just before they CMT Awards performance, The Judds say they’ll kick the tour off September 30 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Then they’ll visit Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and more before wrapping the run with what’s likely to be an emotional Music City send off, booking Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on October 28 for the final concert of their Hall of Fame career.

“The fans have always been my family of choice,” says Naomi Judd. “I love them dearly, so I’m chompin’ at the bit to belt out our hits and reconnect with them once again. The cherry on top is singing with my beloved, wild and extremely talented daughter… the best singer of any genre, Wynonna! She asked me if I was still going to twist, twirl and crack jokes. I answered, ‘Heck yeah! I’m too old to grow up now!'”

“What I’m looking forward to most is celebrating Judd music with the fans,” Wynonna adds. “Mom and I have had quite the journey over the last 38 years, and the fans have been with us through it all. This tour is a celebration for them!”

McBride will appear at select dates on the tour.

The Final Tour announcement comes as The Judds prepare for their induction in the Country Music Hall of Fame on May 1, becoming members of the Class of 2021 alongside Ray Charles, Eddie Bayers and Pete Drake. In addition, they will reunite after a long public separation at tonight’s (April 11) CMT Music Awards, where they are slated to preform their enduring unity ballad, “Love Can Build a Bridge.” It will be the first time mother and daughter have performed on an awards show together in more than 20 years.
