Canadian country duo The Reklaws and Canadian artist Sacha are making waves on TikTok with their new collaboration, “What The Truck.” The song was initially debuted by The Reklaws, a brother-sister duo, on TikTok in February. The duo premiered the song as a work in progress, writing, “New Song… should we finish?” That video has since garnered almost 1 million views and over 70,000 likes.

After the success of their first video, the duo’s Jenna and Stu made another TikTok asking fellow country artists to write the second verse for them. They accepted the second verse written by emerging artist Sacha, and released their official version of the song, featuring Sacha, on May 28th.

“We posted this video and you guys went crazy with it, so we decided to ask you all for a verse to help finish it, and you crushed it,” the duo wrote within the TikTok announcing the version with Sacha. “But we could only choose one verse, up-and-coming artist, Sacha.”

The artists also released a music video on June 15. This week, the duo posted another video on TikTok, revealing that “What The Truck” has become the No. 1 country song on the app.

Prior to “What The Truck,” The Reklaws saw success on Canadian Country radio with singles such as “Feels Like That” and “Can’t Help Myself” with Dean Brody. Their 2018 single, “Long Live The Night” became the most-streamed Canadian country song of 2018 and 2019. The tune was also featured on the Canadian Football League’s broadcasts. The duo’s debut EP, Feels Like That, won the 2019 CCMA Album of the Year Award. They have since released two more albums, Freshman Year and Sophomore Slump.
