It’s hard to believe that The Voice will embark on its 20th season in just a few short months. While season 19 is just in the battle rounds, plans for next season are in the works and there will be a shakeup in the coaches’ chairs.

NBC announced early Tuesday morning (11/17) that Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson would be returning for the milestone season. But Gwen Stefani? She’ll be sitting it out, allowing for Nick Jonas to make a return.

Jonas first joined the hit show in the spring of 2020 for the 18th season, which was interrupted for a short time due to the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic. He ended up taking one of his team, Thunderstorm Artis, to the season finale.

The Voice has been known to change up its celebrity panel, with many of music’s biggest starts switching out throughout the seasons. Previous coaches include Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and many others.

Season 20 of The Voice is expected to begin in the spring of 2021. Season 19 is currently airing on NBC. Fans can watch Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c.
