Two rounds of Blind Auditions in one week? It’s enough to make The Voice fans tremble with delight. That means a whole lot of shaking was going on since the first week of season 18 of the hit NBC reality show actually included two nights of Blinds.

Each coach boasted two members to their respective teams after night one and an abbreviated second night — just one hour long — meant that competition would be fierce between coaches Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton. And it was.

And so we begin:

AREI MOON (28) – Boston, Massachusetts

First-generation American, parents from Cape Verde, West Africa

  • Auditioned to “Miss Independent” (live version) by Kelly Clarkson

Chairs turned: 1 – Nick, 2 – Kelly (blocked by Nick)

JOHN: “What a dastardly thing to do, Nick.”

NICK: “As soon as I heard two notes of ‘Miss Independent’ I knew I had to block Kelly. I was blown away.”

  • TEAM NICK

LEVI WATKINS (14) – Birmingham, Alabama

  • Auditioned to “Hey, Soul Sister” by Train

Chairs turned: 1- Blake

BLAKE: “When I turned around, to not react is the hardest thing I ever did. I don’t want this to turn into ‘I can’t believe you’re only 14 because that was an incredible vocal…I just thought it was a great performance. I missed the second half because I was starting to black out a little bit because I was like, ‘stay calm, don’t react, don’t stand up.”

KELLY: “For a billion dollars, I thought you were a female who sang lower in her 20s…you have a really cool vibe.”

  • TEAM BLAKE

CASSIDY LEE (23) – Jacksonville, Florida

Her dad ran sound until he passed away

  • Auditioned to “Gold Dust Woman” by Fleetwood Mac

KELLY: “It would have been more of a storyteller scenario if you had done something acoustic and something sparsely happening because you have such a cool tone.”

  • NO CHAIRS

ZACH DAY (25) – Stearns, Kentucky

  • Auditioned to “Weak” by SWV

Chairs turned: 1 – John, 2 – Kelly

KELLY: “I loved your voice. Your runs were incredibly cool. If I had to pick one word to describe what you just did it was impressive, so I would love to work with you.”

JOHN: “Impressive feels very mild in this context…I’m gonna say mind-blowing, otherworldly, amazing…just the flawlessly executed runs you were doing, it was like liquid, it was just flowing.”

  • TEAM JOHN

CHELLE (18) – Barbersville, Indiana

  • Auditioned to “IDon’tWantToBeYouAnymore” by Billie Eilish

Chairs turned: 1 – Blake, 2 – Nick, 3 – Kelly

NICK: “Your tone hit me. It actually made me feel emotional…You’re the kind of singer I would die to write songs for.”

KELLY: “When I was your age, I would overthink everything…I heard so much beautiful potential. Quit trying to be perfect all the time and really get lost in the message.”

  • TEAM KELLY

TONEISHA HARRIS (44) – Roswell, Georgia

She was supposed to audition for The Voice eight years ago, but her son was diagnosed with leukemia at 12. He’s in college now.

  • Auditioned to “I Want to Know What Love Is” by Foreigner

4 CHAIR TURN: 1 – John, 2 – Nick, 3 – Blake, 4 – Kelly

NICK: “That was one of the most powerful vocals I’ve ever heard, not just in this competition, but that I’ve ever heard…I would be honored to get to work with you.”

KELLY: “Your voice is a total blessing. You are the reason that this show exists…what we want is to be moved and that’s what you just did. That’s the whole point of being an artist.”

BLAKE: “You had to be singing in the shower because you don’t just not sing for eight years and then come back and sound like that…I don’t even pretend to think that I can sing like you can sing, but I know what it’s like to try to get the attention of America trying to win this thing. I’d like to do it again with you.”

JOHN: “Whenever all of us turn it’s because something is really special and you don’t need any of us to do well on this show. You’re already amazing, you already deserve to be in the finale. The only thing we’re asking for is the opportunity to work with you. ”

  • TEAM BLAKE

BLAKE: “Nobody thought Toneisha would choose me, including me.”

Coaches John, Kelly and Nick each earned one new team member throughout the evening and Blake added two more. During night 3 of Blind Auditions the coaches continue their search for the season 18 winner of The Voice.
