The cast of NBC’s The Voice has a new member this season, as pop superstar Ariana Grande comes on board the four-person squad. And apparently the coaches have spent some quality time together.

In a teaser for a new promo spot arriving Tuesday (July 27), Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Grande get out into the great outdoors, with more adventures on the way.

Hanging out in a film studio made to look like a wilderness campsite — complete with a roaring campfire and the four stars gathered ’round — coach Clarkson gave fans a sneak peek of the cozy clip Monday. It seemed to showcase the personal connections Voice coaches often build, and with plenty of smiles being passed around, found a fun-loving group welcoming their new pal.

“Today’s promo is about how we regularly just chill around a campfire and sing,” Clarkson sarcastically explained in a behind-the-scenes clip. “And the whole thing is just kinda cute and it’s outdoorsy. This is just welcoming Ariana.”

NBC revealed Grande as the newest cast member in mid-July. Season 21 of The Voice will return to the network on September 20, with shows on Monday and Tuesday nights. After finishing up with winner Cam Anthony last season — another victory for Team Blake — it seems like the competition is already heating up. Ariana Grande, in particular, is already predicting a win in her rookie season.

Meanwhile, The Voice continues to be a favorite among TV talent shows, scoring a 2021 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Competition Program.
