‘The Voice’ Week 2: Blake Shelton Continues To Build Diverse Team; Adam Levine Locks Down Country Act

Triple champ coach, Blake Shelton, bucked his consistent country picks of previous seasons on “The Voice” – sending those acts to other coaches.

Three artists joined the ranks of “Team Blake” to kickoff week 2 of blind auditions Monday.

Soulful singer Monica Leigh attracted the attention of three coaches with her rendition of “The Thrill Is Gone.” Shelton candidly hoisted “three reasons why she should pick” him onto to his chair – each being a peace statue of his previous wins.

Louisiana man Ray Boudreaux had CeeLo and Shelton battling to land him with his cover of “Use Me.” His daughter is a TOTAL cutie too. Just check this pair out below!

One of the highlights of the night was dad-to-be Justin Blake, but not just for his performance. He boldly sang Shelton’s hit “Sure Be Cool If You Did.” Of course, you’d think he’d go to Team Blake but it was Levine who made the turn. Do yourself a favor and watch the video below. Pay special attention around 2:35 (apparently, Levine needs to go pickup some of Shelton’s albums!).

Lastly, Shelton also scooped up pop-singer Cilla Chan after her performance of Selena Gomez’s “Come & Get It.” She’s starts at about 20 seconds into the video below.

Part 4 of blind auditions gets underway tonight at 8/7c on NBC.
