‘The Voice’ Week 2 Complete: A Handful of Country Hopefuls Take Stage as Team Blake Fills Up

Justin Chain - The Voice

The teams are almost fully stacked on “The Voice” as the second week of blind auditions comes to an end and Team Blake is looking more diverse than in any previous season. Another interesting twist is that Blake Shelton wasn’t the only coach who recruited country acts.

Comrade in country, Justin Chain, caught Blake’s with his big time performance of Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country.” None of the judges dared to compete. Adam Levine even called the Alabama singer “more country” than Blake. It looks like Chain and Shelton will fit just fine as they appear to be wearing the same shirt.

Turns out, Chain has also amassed an awesome collection of songs on YouTube, including the one he wrote below.

Olivia Henken - The Voice

“Two Black Cadillacs” is all it took to attract the ear of two coaches – neither of which were Shelton. Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green were both “glad Blake didn’t push his button” for Olivia Henken. She eventually went to Team XTina after the coach lured her with the possibility of working with Shelton behind the scenes.

A fight for Blake finally came from CeeLo following Sam Cerniglia’s cover of Micheal Buble’s “It’s a Beautiful Day.” Shelton was drawn to Cerniglia’s range while CeeLo complimented the signer’s style and swagger. In the end, he knew Shelton was the way to go.

Rock group Guns N’ Roses knew how to do music, but it was Emily Randolph knew how to turn the one of the band’s most popular hits country. Shelton was immediately attracted to her countrified version of “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn.” Check her out below – she’s the last act up.

The standing after week 2: Team Blake and Team Adam are tioed with ten artists, XTina has the most with 11, and CeeLo trails everyone with nine.

Only a few spots remain when the show returns next Monday (10/7) at 8/7c on NBC. After next week is when the real action begins!
