Country star Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, have welcomed the birth of their fourth child, a baby girl named Lillie Carolina Akins. She was born on November 15 and weighed “7.5 pounds of pure joy,” according to TR, who also noted the couple now have four girls under the age of six.

“Lillie Carolina Akins 😍 born November 15th. 7.5 pounds of pure joy🙌 @laur_akins you are my hero,” he wrote. “Watching a child being born is legit a miracle. 4 under 6 here we go!”

The hit maker behind romantic, family-focused favorites like “Die a Happy Man,” “Life Changes” and more, TR shared the news with a photo of the couple and their newborn in the hospital, gazing at his daughter as Akins cradled their newborn with a smile.

The newest member of the family now joins her three sisters — Willa Grey, Lennon Love and Ada James Akins — and in a post on Akins’ Instagram account, she explained part of the couple’s inspiration for name “Lillie.” Using lyrics from the song “Jireh” by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music, which in turn were inspired by the gospels of Matthew and Luke, the dedicated mother and author included a photo of herself kissing the new baby’s nose.

If He dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor / How much more will He clothe you? / If He watched over every sparrow / How much more does He love you?” she wrote. “Just love hearing her name as the sweetest reminder of how much God cares for us.”

Congratulations to the whole family! Thomas Rhett recently released a new single titled “Slow Down Summer,” which he says will lead to a whole new album.
