Taking it to the streets, Thomas Rhett performed his hit, “T-Shirt,” in the middle of downtown Nashville during the 2016 CMT Music Awards.

Rhett took over Broadway to play his No. 1 single of the moment and got the outdoor crowd rocking to the beat. His entertaining spirit kept the audience on their toes as he event hopped off stage during the second verse to get closer to his fans.

“T-Shirt” has skyrocketed to success following up Rhett’s hit single, “Die a Happy Man.” It made its way to the top of the charts to help Rhett notch his sixth No. 1 single in a row. Even Rhett was shocked over the positive response for the fun little track.

“I never would have imagined when I started on this journey that I’d have six No. 1’s in a row,” the Georgia native said of his recent hit “T-Shirt.”

Rhett won the award for Male Video of the Year for “Die a Happy Man,” which featured his wife, Lauren, in dedication to his love for her. He was nominated for Video of the Year and CMT Social Superstar.
