Thomas Rhett and Wife Lauren Celebrate 8th Wedding Anniversary
Happy anniversary!
Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins celebrated eight years of marriage yesterday (Oct. 12), and they have commemorated the special day with posts on social media. Yesterday morning, Thomas took to Instagram to wish his wife a happy anniversary with a photo of her with their three daughters.
“Happy 8 year anniversary @laur_akins I seriously feel like we got married 6 months ago,” Rhett wrote in the romantic tribute. “I have loved every second of our journey together. No matter how tough it has been at times you are a fighter and I thank you and the Lord every day that you wake up and choose love. You are my rock, my inspiration and the woman that simply just makes life better. I can’t wait to relax with you, take naps with you and crush Netflix with you today! I love you so much honey!”
Lauren also posted about the marriage milestone on her Instagram page, choosing the share a photo of the two of them overlooking a mountain range.
“I’ll go anywhere with you babe,” she wrote. “These last 8 years have been the adventure of my dreams. I love you more than any words on Instagram can say Happy Anniversary.”
Thomas and Lauren were married in 2012 after knowing one another since the first grade. The two dated briefly in high school before breaking up in dating other people. However, they later reunited and fell in love. They announced that they’d be adopting their first child, Willa, from Uganda in May 2017, and they later welcomed their second child, Ada, in August of that year. Their third daughter, Lennon, was born in February 2020.
