Thomas Rhett seems to have had a burst of creativity while in quarantine, as he’s been posting videos of himself singing brand new songs since mid-March. In the latest video, Rhett shared a song called “Want It Again.” The emotional track is about a relationship that ended, but the man is keeping his heart open in case the woman should “want it again someday.” In the verses, he sings about the woman who goes off and meets someone else but eventually makes her way back to him.

Oh, I knew someday you’d find your way back into my arms / So girl I kept his heart of mine somewhere good and safe, I knew you’d want it again someday,” he sings in the last chorus.

The song joins several other new tunes Rhett has shared over the past few weeks. On April 30th, he sang one called “Country Again,” which is about getting back to his country roots.

“Sorry for the overload of songs. I have been writing like crazy,” Rhett said in the video. “This is a new one. I’ve been in this business for about 10 years and I’ve been through a lot of change and I feel like lately I’ve somewhat rediscovered myself, maybe it took turning 30 to figure it out.”

There’s also “Growing Up,” which is an uptempo tune about the process of changing from a young kid looking for a good time to a responsible adult. He also shared “Ya Heard,” which finds Rhett thanking God for hearing all his prayers throughout the years.

A song that got a big reaction from his fellow country artists is “What’s Your Country Song,” posted on April 17th, in which Rhett name-drops classic country tunes while asking, ‘What’s your country song?’ And lastly, back on March 13th, Rhett shared a song dedicated to his newborn daughter, Lennon.

“The last few days, Lennon has been really waking up to the world, and now when I hold her to rock her the bounce doesn’t work anymore, so I started singing to her,” he says. “And I made up this little song for her.”

Rhett hasn’t made any comments as to whether he will be recording and releasing these tunes once the pandemic is over, but based on the comments on each video, his fans and his fellow country artists are certainly enjoying the acoustic social media videos.
