Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Pay Off $5k in Layaways at Florida Walmart

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are taking McGraw’s mega-hit “Humble and Kind” to heart this holiday season.

According to several reports, including one from News4Jax.com, McGraw’s mother, Betty Trimble, a resident of Baker County, Florida, visited a local Walmart on behalf of her son and daughter-in-law and paid off $5,000 worth of layaway bills. The payoff receipts came with Christmas cards that read “Merry Christmas, Tim McGraw + Faith Hill.”

One Walmart shopper named named Jessica Lumpkin didn’t have anything on layaway, but received a card filled with $30 cash. “I didn’t have anything on layaway, was just picking up a package and she gave me this,” she told Action News Jacksonville. “I’ve never had this happen to me. I’m glad I call Baker County my home.”

After Trimble’s visit to the store, several people took to social media to share their excitement. Some folks even posted photos with Trimble, thanking her for their generosity.

The family’s act of kindness will surely not be forgotten.
