Country superstar Tim McGraw will reveal the secrets behind his chiseled body in a new book this year, setting November 5 for the release of Grit & Grace: Train the Mind, Train the Body, Own Your Life.
Described as a health and lifestyle book aimed at helping readers improve their own well-being, McGraw tells PEOPLE that Grit & Grace will share personal stories and practical tips. It’s meant to de-mystify not only the physical approach which has helped McGraw transform his body, but also the mental impact of a consistent exercise plan. According to him, it’s helped to focus his mind and deepen his relationships – especially those with his closest loved ones.
“That’s something we all want,” the country star shares with the outlet. “And I believe it’s something that is available to anyone who wants it, regardless of their level of fitness. I want this book to help people find what works for them by sharing the mental and physical approach that has worked for me.”
After hearing the concerns of family and friends, McGraw stopped drinking entirely in 2008 and replaced alcohol with twice-daily exercise. But Grit & Grace stresses how each person’s routine should be tailored to whatever works for them. Rather than follow a strict, one-size-fits-all program, McGraw would prefer his readers “to create a personal vision and commit to it.” Clearly, it worked for him.
McGraw’s current single is the heartwarming “Thought About You,” and he was just announced as part of the 2019 CMA Music Festival lineup at Nissan Stadium. He’ll take part in this year’s iHeartCountry Festival May 4 in Austin, Texas, and will travel to Cuba for his historic One of Those Havana Nights concert series May 23 – 27, among other upcoming performances.
