Tim McGraw has canceled liftoff of his upcoming tour due to the coronavirus pandemic. In an announcement late Wednesday afternoon (5/20), the legendary performer shared that his Here On Earth Tour was postponed.

“I hope my life shows are proof enough of how much I absolutely love performing for you guys. I’m sad to have to cancel this year’s Here On Earth Tour but everyone’s safety has to be the top priority,” said McGraw in a statement. “We are working with our teams to figure out when and how we can get back out on the road and see you safely. In the meantime, we’re looking for some new ways to connect with you and get more music out.”

The trek was McGraw’s first back with his old record label Big Machine and was the kick-off to a year of new music from the singer.

“Anyone who knows me knows how much I love to be outside in the summertime playing music. Everyone is there, sharing the moment, having fun and letting loose,” said McGraw upon the tour’s original announcement. “To be here on earth in this moment, together, sharing our love for music and getting through all that life is throwing us — that’s what it’s all about.”

No word yet on if the previously selected special guests MidlandIngrid Andress, and Luke Combs would join during the rescheduled dates.
