Despite the ongoing global pandemic, Tim McGraw is intent on connecting with fans over his upcoming album — and the superstar is too ambitious to settle for the ordinary. He’ll host a “livestream like no other” on the project’s August 21 release day, announcing the Here On Earth Experience.

Named after McGraw’s Here On Earth album — his 15th studio set — the event will make the most of a tough situation. Since people can’t gather together physically, artists from across the musical spectrum have turned to virtual events, but this ones aims to be a little different.

Streaming live from Nashville, McGraw plans to act as moderator and performer chatting with the album’s songwriters to reveal the stories behind his new tracks, while also performing with his five-piece “super acoustic” band. Fans can expect some of McGraw’s iconic hits as well as new material, just like the live concerts he says he’s missing so much.

“The thing I miss the most about playing live is the connection I feel to everyone,” McGraw explains in a prepared statement. “Even if we can’t physically be together this summer, hopefully this will give us a chance to share the new album and know how much we are still together seeing each other through.”

McGraw’s Here On Earth Experience goes live on August 21 at 9 p.m. ET, and tickets are on sale now at live.timmcgraw.com. The new album includes his current single, “I Called Mama,” along with 15 other new songs. A Target Deluxe edition adds two more.
