Tim McGraw is ‘Humble and Kind’ During ACM Presents: Our Country
Tim is becoming a pro with at-home performances!
Tim McGraw and his band made the most of social distancing with their performance of “Humble and Kind” on ACM Presents: Our Country.
Sitting in a cozy, all-white room in the home he shares with wife Faith Hill, McGraw explained how he and his band came up with a way to perform the song from afar, having each of his band members play their instruments from home and overlapping them for the performance. Hugging his knees to his chest as he sat comfortably on the floor, McGraw delivered a poignant version of the CMA Award winning song.
The song’s emotion came through on the screen, McGraw capturing the sentiment of remaining humble and expressing kindness to one another beautifully with his voice. The song’s message is particularly resonate during these times of social distancing practices in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.
McGraw was one of the many performers during the two-hour special, which brought country stars across the spectrum together (from home) to bring music to fans. Due to COVID-19, the ACM Awards will now take place on Sept. 16, with Keith Urban still serving as host.
