Superstar Tim McGraw has landed another movie role!
The Louisiana native is set to star in the upcoming film, “The Shack,” which is based on the 2007 novel by William Paul Young. TheWrap.com reports that Alice Braga, Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer will star in the film alongside the singer.
“The Shack” is a faith-based drama that tells the story of a family whose youngest daughter is abducted while they’re on vacation. Four years after her disappearance, the father receives a note, which he believes to be from God, telling him to return to the shack where authorities believe his daughter was murdered.
“We have a great cast and a great crew bringing ‘The Shack’ to life after many years of development. Excited to finally start shooting tomorrow,” director Stuart Hazeldine wrote on Facebook earlier this month.
“The Shack” marks McGraw’s 10th movie.
