Country music brings all kinds of folks together, so Midland teamed up with their tour mate Tim McGraw backstage for a good ol’ jam session before their big show.

Bonding together like many country music artists do, McGraw went solo sans his wife and tour partner, Faith Hill, to join the guys of Midland to bring back the traditional spirit of authentic country by hosting an Alabama cover session. Taking on the hit, “Dixieland Delight,” the four-part harmonies sounded truer than ever as their combined twang echoed down the backstage halls before the show.

Captured in a raw black-and-white video clip, McGraw shared the performance on his social media and made sure his supporters grooved along in time with their genuine cover.

“Got to hang backstage with Midland at #Soul2SoulEdmonton and sang one of the best! – Alabama ‘Dixieland Delight,’” McGraw captioned the Facebook video post.

Midland is just one of the many opening acts for McGraw and Hill on their Soul2Soul Tour, as they handpicked a number of direct supports before embarking on their dual concert run. Other artists including Ben Rector, Cam, Devin Dawson, High Valley, Lori McKenna, Eric Paslay and many more will take the stage prior to the country couple while out on the road.

The Soul2Soul Tour, featuring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, will run throughout the summer and into the early fall.
