Toby Keith Creates Buzz In Norway

Toby Keith was in Norway over the weekend to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize concert and his appearance is resulting in plenty of controversy.

Some media outlets are criticizing Toby for his comments in support of war while attending an event that supports peace. Toby was quoted as saying “If President Obama has to send troops into Afghanistan to fight evil, I’ll pull for our guys to win, and I won’t apologize for it… I’m an American, and I do pull for our team to fight evil.”

The Toby chatter doesn’t end there. At an after-party for the concert, Toby made what some are calling a racist gesture as he slanted his eyes during a rap song by Will Smith. Check out the video below at the 1:23 mark and decide for yourself…

We personally think that Toby, as always, was just being supportive of our American troops, period. We like that he’s not afraid to speak his mind and voice his opinion!

We want to hear your thoughts… leave us a comment and let us know what you think about Toby’s comments and about the video!

UPDATE: TMZ caught up with Toby’s rep who said “No one at the concert thought Toby was out of line… Everyone was impressed with his rapping skills and that’s it… all of the artists liked each other, hung out, and it was a very friendly, genuine, and supportive atmosphere.”
