Toby Keith was joined by songwriters Bobby Pinson and Scotty Emerick at the Bluebird Cafe on Tuesday (6/28) for a performance to help raise fund for the famed Nashville venue. The upcoming show was part of Bluebird’s The BirdSongs Series which was created last year in order to raise funds to help offset debt associated with the Bluebird Cafe.
“God blessed me to be a songwriter first and foremost,” Toby said. “I remember going to writer’s night at the Bluebird. It’s great to have a place for songwriters to showcase their songs. It can open a door that just makes a song fly. Just one moment of inspiration and you’re off. Nashville needs to keep the Bluebird alive and thriving.”
Between the concert and an auction, more than $20,000 was raised for the historic venue.
