‘Today Show’ Cast Goes Country For Halloween

Happy Halloween, y’all!

To celebrate All Hallows’ Eve, the anchors of NBC’s TODAY Show underwent serious makeovers for their festive costumes. In honor of special guest Blake Shelton, the team embraced their inner country stars and ponied up to rock their favorite songs.

Enlisting the one and only Reba as guest announcer, the TODAY Show had each one of its hosts strut their stuff onstage for the star-studded “Legends Night” at the Grand Ole Opry lineup. Carson Daly posed as Billy Ray Cyrus (with a surprise appearance from the real Billy Ray); Al Roker as Willie Nelson; Megyn Kelly as Shania Twain; Hoda Kotb as Blake Shelton (joined by the real Shelton); and Kathie Lee Gifford as Miley Cyrus.

While each and every one rocked their own country icon costume, the highlight came at the end when Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer took the stage for a collaboration on “Islands in the Stream,” dressed as Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, respectively.

As Guthrie and Lauer sang back and forth, they were once again joined by their TODAY counterparts for the rest of the tune before revealing that Shelton would soon take the stage for a special performance in honor of his new album, Texoma Shore.
