It’s been a tough couple of weeks for country hitmaker Trace Adkins.
After the singer checked himself into rehab for alcoholism in January, Adkins learned that his father was seriously ill and checked himself out of the treatment facility last week to be by his father’s side. According to TMZ, his dad, Aaron Adkins, passed away over the weekend. Thankfully, Trace was able to be by his side during his final hours.
Trace’s wife, Rhonda Adkins took to Twitter early this morning to thank fans for their thoughts and prayers. “Thank you for all of your love, prayers and support,” she wrote. “Sometimes we don’t know where our journey will take us but I know he has a plan.”
