It looks like Trace Adkins planned for a big year in 2018 with the news that he’ll be hitting the road on his own How Did We Get Here Tour come late spring into summer.

The country singer set out dates to hit the road right after he travels along the Country Music Freaks Tour with his buddy Blake Shelton. He’ll also get to know Brett Eldredge and Carly Pearce better due to their opening support for the same tour.

Shelton also booked Adkins as his adviser for season 14 of NBC’s hit reality competition show, The Voice. After leaving a legacy in the country music genre with his deep rootsy voice and traditional twang in his catalogue, Adkins can teach the new up-and-comers a thing or two about how the industry works and how to hone in on authenticity within their vocal repertoire.

Although he may have released his latest album back in early 2017, Adkins continues to support the project and sent “Still a Soldier” to radio in September of last year. Fans may hear a new tune or two during Adkins’ set for his headlining run, but the singer will throw in some of his all-time classics as well to pump up his set.

The How Did We Get Here Tour kicks off on April 6 in Biloxi, Mississippi, and runs throughout the summer months. More information about specific dates and purchasing tickets can be found through updates on Adkins’ website.
