Tracy Lawrence Makes Donation to Help Women Battle Breast Cancer

Tracy Lawrence recently presented a check to Lace Up 4 Pink and Susan G. Komen of Greater Nashville for $5,000 each to help battle breast cancer. The funds were raised through the second annual Tracy Lawrence Golf & Concert For A Cure.

The multi-day benefit, which was held in April, kicked off with a concert that included celebrities such as Ira Dean, The Roys, Lorrie Morgan, Joanna Smith, Rick Huckaby, and of course, Tracy Lawrence. The golf tournament featured sports and entertainment celebrities including women of sports LPGA tour top ranking Angela Stanford, Kristy McPherson, and Gerina Piller. Other celebrities included NFL Titans, Rob Bironas, Racing Country, Cathy Martindale, The Roys, Ira Dean, Dave Innis and Paul Gregg of Restless Heart, Rockie Shipes, Joe Diffie, Ty Brown, Rick Huckaby, and Kim Tribble.

In September, Lawrence will receive the Wilson County Humanitarian Award in honor of his philanthropy and charitable efforts in the community. The gala event will held on September 25, recently proclaimed Tracy Lawrence Day in Wilson County. The event will benefit “New Leash On Life,” an organization dedicated to providing care and improving the welfare of stray and abused animals in need.

In addition, Lawrence will take part in the upcoming Music With A Mission Concert on October 14, 2012 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission.
