Trailer Choir’s Marc ‘Butter’ Fortney and Carter’s Chord’s Emily Robertson Expecting First Child
In September 2010, Marc “Butter” Fortney from Trailer Choir tied the knot in a surprise ceremony with Carter’s Chord’s Emily Robertson. Family and friends arrived at Nashville 12th and Porter thinking they were attending Butter’s birthday party. Butter proposed to Emily, and after she accepted, a curtain dropped to reveal a minister, flowers and an altar.
Now, they have some more exciting news to share! The couple just announced that they are expecting their first child! Emily took to the Carter’s Chord website and made the announcement about their baby BOY on the way!

We wanted to make a little announcement this morning because we just can’t keep it in any longer. Are you ready? Is the anticipation killing you???? Drumroll please……
We would like to announce……..that this October…..we are expecting A BABY BOY!!!!!
We have waited to share the good news with all our fans and it feels so good to be able to tell the world! We feel incredibly blessed to be embarking on this new part of our lives and can’t wait to be parents to our little boy. God is oh so good.
