Country Weekly is reporting that Trailer Choir’s “Butter” (Marc Fortney) and Emily Robertson of Carter’s Chord were married in Nashville last night. The Labor Day nuptials took place at 12th & Porter at what started out as a birthday party for Butter. Country Aircheck reports that TC’s Big Vinny was the ring bearer.
“Emily and I wanted our wedding to reflect what was important to us, and how much we love each other,” Butter said in a statement via The Tennessean. “Expensive invitations and fancy ceremonies don’t matter to us – I mean the altar cost us $30 bucks worth of PVC pipes. Plus we both have this wacky sense of humor, and being able to pull off a surprise like that was great.”
Trailer Choir and Carter’s Chord are both on Toby Keith’s record label Show Dog-Universal.
