Tucker Beathard Cheers on Brother at Super Bowl LIV

With country fans all around the nation glued to their TVs for this year’s Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, hit maker Tucker Beathard had some of the best seats in the house.

The “Rock On” chart topper made his way to Miami for the game — there to cheer on his big brother, C.J., who serves as the 49ers backup quarterback. A pair of incredible photos made their way to Instagram, which show Beathard taking in the scenery before game time and posing with his family outside — including his hit songwriter dad, Casey (Kenny Chesney’s “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems,“Don’t Blink” and many more).

The once-in-a-lifetime moment was likely bittersweet for the Beathards, however. The 49ers ultimately lost the game 31 – 20, and one member of the family wasn’t there to root C.J. on. Twenty-two year old brother Clayton Beathard was tragically killed in December when he and two others were stabbed outside of a Nashville bar, apparently after defending a female friend from unwanted physical advances. Suspect Michael Mosley has been arrested and is currently awaiting trial.
