Tyler Farr is quickly making a name for himself as his latest single, “Redneck Crazy,” makes its way up the charts. The song, which made CountryMusicIsLove’s latest installment of 10 Songs You Should Be Listening To Right Now, drew Farr in from the first time he heard it.

“Well, I tell you what, there’s very few songs that you come across that are that different, where you hear it, and you say, ‘Man, I’ve never heard a song like that,’ and ‘Redneck Crazy’ is very much that for me,” Farr explains. “It was one of the songs, I heard it, and I’d never heard any guy sing a song like that.”

He compared the song to Carrie Underwood’s anthem “Before He Cheats,” saying it just comes from a male’s perspective. “You know, we’ve heard Carrie Underwood‘s song about keyin’ the guy’s truck and stuff, but never a guy singin’ about, you know, the opposite end of the spectrum, which is the fact that guys go through the same thing, and they get mad, too, and this song definitely does that for guys and also crosses over even into the girls’ redneck crazy universe over there and preaches it for the ladies, too.”

Farr also recently released the music video for “Redneck Crazy” The video features his good friends Lee Brice, Colt Ford and “Duck Dynasty”‘s Willie Robertson. See the video HERE. Fans can also check out a special behind-the-scenes clip from the music video below.
