Tyler Farr Gives Video Update Following Vocal Cord Surgery

Just two days ago, fans became aware that Tyler Farr was set to undergo surgery to remove polyps on his vocal cords. The Microlaryngeal surgery would result in the Georgia native being placed on complete vocal rest, as well as cancelling his opening opening slot on the Life Off My Years Tour with Lee Brice.

This morning, Farr underwent his surgery and shared a video with fans shortly after he woke up.

“Tyler just got out of surgery,” an off camera voice announces. “How are you feeling?” she asks, getting a thumbs up reply from the clearly-still-out-of-it singer. “Good. He’s got some really good feel-good medicine.”

“I know what it takes to get out there and really deliver,” he said when he shared the news with fans. “I hate cancelling shows, especially the upcoming tour with my buddy Lee Brice, but I never want to give the fans less than everything… And I know the sooner I let my body heal, the sooner I can get back out there – and the fewer problems I will have in the long run. To me, it’s never about the next few days, but doing the right thing overall, and now I’m under doctor’s orders.”

Farr will have to take the next few months off in order to allow his voice to heal completely. Filling his spot on tour with Brice will be Maddie & Tae, Clare Dunn and Jerrod Niemann.

#FeelGoodMedicine Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
