Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and his wife Hayley were at the hospital on Hayley’s due date recently, but it wasn’t for the reason they would have thought. Instead of going to the hospital to deliver their new baby, Tyler and Hayley were taking their daughter, Olivia, to get stitches after she fell and hurt her chin on a coffee table. His daughter’s injury comes about a month after Tyler ruptured his Achilles tendon and broke his ankle in a dirt bike accident. In a video recorded in their car in the parking lot of the hospital, Hubbard explained what happened to ‘Liv’ as Hayley can be seen putting her in a car seat behind him.

“We’re at the hospital, it’s Hayley’s due date, so we should be here delivering a baby, but we’re actually here getting Liv’s chin stitched up,” he says in the video. “She fell this afternoon and busted her chin on the coffee table. I’ve got a lame foot, Hayley’s about to deliver a baby any minute, and this is our Wednesday night.”

After explaining the situation in the video, Hubbard looked back at his daughter in her car seat as she sweetly said, “I was so brave.” The post also includes photos of Liv in the hospital undergoing the procedure. Hubbard summed up the feeling of all the “curve balls” they’ve been dealing with and thanked the hospital staff in the caption of the post.

“Not exactly what we expected on hayley’s due date, but that’s life” he wrote. “We getting good at hitting these curve balls 2020 keeps throwing at us. Shout out to @vumcchildren for taking such good care of our angel.”

Hubbard shared the news of his dirt bike accident, and the surgery that followed, in an Instagram post on August 21st. Since then, he’s been getting around using a scooter, and shared a lighthearted video of himself having a little scooter mishap on earlier this month.

The couple is expecting their third child, a boy, any day now. The new arrival will join 2-year-old Liv and their 1-year-old son, Luca.
