Tyler Hubbard is getting back to his roots following the announcement that he’d be taking some time off of social media.

The Georgia half of Florida Georgia Line revealed today that he’d be stepping away from his social media channels to avoid the pressure he feels to maintain them.

“I’ve done a lot of thinking and praying about this for the last few days and I think it’s time for me to take a break from social media indefinitely,” Hubbard wrote on Instagram. “I spend way to much of my valuable time worrying about my next post or how many comments or likes I got.”

His newly available time will be spent getting back to the things that matter to him most, like his wife Hayley and hobbies that have been pushed aside.

“Honestly it’s a little ridiculous and I’m ready to get back to focusing all my attention on the things that really matter. I love my fans and promise I’m not gone forever but I’m taking some time to refocus on my relationships, the Lord, my marriage, my family, and my music,” he continued. “Maybe I’ll even learn a new instrument instead of learning how to snap chat. I want to make sure that I’m living my life to the fullest and not worrying about making a highlight reel for the world to talk about or comparing my life to other peoples highlight reels. That’s not what life is about. #backtothebasics”

For now, fans can keep up with the superstar duo by following Florida Georgia Line’s accounts or by checking out bandmate Brian Kelley’s posts.
