Kierra Lewis may be a new fan of country music, but she’s making sure to enjoy everything the genre has to offer. The Houston native recently went viral on TikTok for her hilariously animated commentaries about the men of country music. It all started with an off-the-cuff video about the steamy Sam Hunt hit, “Body Like A Back Road,” in which she shared her surprise about Sam Hunt’s appearance.

“I’m listening to the words, and I’m like, ‘Hold on, let’s just see how this man looks.’ And when I found his Instagram, I literally had to pull over in the car. I was like, ‘No, no, no. You’re telling me this is how a country singer looks?’ Because I didn’t even know there were going to be a lot of them,” Lewis told Sounds Like Nashville. “I got my phone, and I always make Instagram stories and Snapchat stories, so I’m just used to just grabbing my phone and just instantly expressing how I feel, so I just went to the TikTok app and made a TikTok video.”

Within a few days of posting the video, the clip had gone viral, and it has now amassed 2.3 million views. Many of the comments on the original video suggested that she make a series in which she chats about the features of good-looking country men, and that is exactly what she did. Since then, Lewis has featured Riley Green, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Chase Rice, and more, and in each video, she shares her honest, unfiltered thoughts about each hunky guy.

While Lewis is getting positive reactions from her newfound fans, she is also getting reactions from the very country stars she makes videos about. Many country stars have been reposting her videos on their TikTok or Instagram stories, and Lewis got a big reaction from Rice after he saw her impassioned video about him and his 2014 song, “Ride.” In the video, Lewis speaks openly about her thoughts on the sensual song and her brand-new crush on the singer. Not only did Rice respond by duetting the video, but he also sang a version of the song with Lewis’ name in it. The momentum of the videos caused “Ride” to take the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Country chart.

“I would say I was definitely surprised,” says Lewis of seeing Rice’s serenade to her. “Even to this day I rewatch the video because I was already feeling a type of way with the song, but when he went and made a video personally to me and then did the wink, Chase knew what he was doing.”

As a former Journalism major, Lewis says she has always wanted to work in entertainment, and her TikTok popularity has proven to be the perfect outlet. The content creator looks forward to finally attending country concerts when it’s safe to do so, and she’s even getting some personal invitations from country stars — including from Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline.

“Of course I want Chase to sing to me onstage. That’s going to happen — I already manifested that,” she says. “I’m really excited to see this Luke Bryan. Everybody and their mama has been talking about him shaking it, and his wife already said I can do it. I said I’ll make sure my hands are tied — I won’t touch your man, so I’m excited for that one.”

Lewis hopes to expand her presence in country music by presenting at an awards show or interviewing artists on the red carpet in the near future, and in the long term, she dreams of entertaining people with her own show, or possibly, in movies.

“But right now, I’m loving the country lane, and I want to stay in it as long as I can,” she shares.
