The Voice Recap: Cross Battles Continue With Dramatic Performances

Last week, NBC’s The Voice debuted a new dimension of competition on the reality show with the live Cross Battles. In this new round of competition, contestants from opposing teams were pitted against each other performing a song of their own choosing. This week, the remaining contestants faced off for the final night of the Cross Battle round.
In addition to this exciting new level of competition, coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton were each given a “save” and a “steal” to utilize during this intensely exciting round. At the beginning of the show, Blake was the only coach with a steal remaining, and John and Kelly each still had a save. However, since voting during the live performances is left in the viewing audience’s hands, the coaches are unable to exercise their steal and save options until the following night’s Results Show.
