Kelly Clarkson’s new talk show kicks off on Monday, September 9. In anticipation of the show, the Texas native performed Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” which full encompasses the singer’s busy schedule.

The commercial for The Kelly Clarkson Show features Clarkson and a slew of hard-working women, with everything from car mechanics to waitresses, construction workers to firefighters and even a police officer.

Things for The Kelly Clarkson Show got off to a rocky start during the first day of filming, however. Actor Kevin Hart was scheduled to be Clarkson’s first-ever guest, but had to cancel after having back surgery from a car accident. Worried for the fate of her first show, the singer called everyone she could and eventually found an amazing fill-in guest.

“Because Kevin couldn’t be here, one of his good friends stepped the heck up and I love him,” Clarkson said before introducing actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. She later added that the Jumanji star had left his honeymoon in order to appear on the show (“His wife probably hates me,” joked Clarkson).

“When my son @KevinHart4real goes down with an injury, his big daddy steps in. I did leave my honeymoon early (Lauren approved cos she LOVES Kelly) and now me and Kelly are new best friends 😉🙌🏾. Tune in this Monday! We had the best time!” tweeted Johnson after his appearance.

Taking on a talk show on top of all of her other roles (she is the mother of two young kids, star of NBC’s The Voice and a touring recording artists) was a no brainer for the “Love So Soft” singer.

“I feel like this show is an extension of all the things I love about my career,” she told PEOPLE. “I actually enjoy doing interviews. I’m not normal, because none of my friends in the business like it, but I love talking. So, surprise!”

She added, “I want to have a well-rounded show. That’s an example of my personality in general. The thing people say most about me is that I’m not really famous. I don’t act like a famous person. I’m very much like, I go to Target every week, and I fill up my buggy just like everybody else. I’m just very normal. So I want the show to kind of reflect all of that.”
